Platonic is for adults building strictly platonic friendships and local community. These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone using the service.
Be Clear and Respectful
Use honest profile information, respect boundaries, and keep conversations friendly, practical, and platonic.
Meet Safely
For first meetups, choose public places, tell someone you trust where you are going, and do not share private contact, home, financial, or identity information too quickly.
Prohibited Content and Behavior
- Harassment, threats, hate, bullying, stalking, or intimidation.
- Dating solicitation, sexual content, sexual services, or sexually explicit messages.
- Scams, spam, fraud, phishing, impersonation, or misleading profiles.
- Illegal content, dangerous activities, malware, or instructions for harm.
- Sharing someone else's private information without permission.
- Content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors.
Reporting and Blocking
Use in-app report, block, mute, and hide controls when a profile, message, post, event, or reply violates these guidelines or makes you feel unsafe.
Moderation
Platonic may remove content, warn users, limit features, suspend accounts, or ban users. Serious safety issues may be escalated quickly.
